Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish played against newly crowned League winners, USRC Tigers on Saturday the 10th of February at Kings Park in the final round of the League. Tigers had just found out before the kick off that they had won the League as HKFC had beaten Valley earlier in the day but the Scots had other ideas and were determined to finish the season on a high and get their hands on the Broony Quaich Trophy.

Tigers started well with a Casey Stone try which Robbie Keith converted, the ever accurate Gregor McNeish kept HKS in the match with a penalty before leaving the field with an injury. Captain Josh Dowsing’s quick thinking lead to a try for Scottish after the back row forward opted to take a quick tap penalty and barge his way over the line, back up kicker Charles Cheung converted from the touch line. 10 - 7 to Scottish at half time.

Tigers scored a try after a neat kick from Keith saw Gerber score in the corner but Scottish weren’t done and strung some phases together and scored in the corner through Loveni Enari who was playing out of position on the wing. Special mention to Kane Boucaut who celebrated his 50th Premiership appearance for the club on Saturday’s victory and HKS will keep hold of the Broony Quaich during the off season, HKS take on Kowloon RFC in the Grand Championship Quarter Final on Saturday the 24th of February 2018 at The Rock, Shek Kip Mei.

The HKS Nomads beat Tigers 2nds 28-19 and secured 2nd place in the Premiership A League, the Nomads have progressed to the Grand Championship Semi Final.

The HKS Bravehearts went down 31- 17 to Tigers 3rds but the HKS Kukris beat HKCC 31 - 5 at Aberdeen and the HKS Phoenixes won the National League 4 (pictured below) after beating Tigers on Saturday.
