HKS suffer defeat to Valley

Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish had a tough day at the office against last season’s Grand Champions Societe Generale Valley on Saturday 21st of October at Happy Valley 6. An early penalty try for Valley in the first half lead to a yellow card for Jack Parfitt who has recently returned to the starting line up after an injury lay off. A Matt Rosslee penalty and a try by Ally MaClay saw the score read 17 - 0 at half time.

The second half didn’t start much better for HKS as Jack Parfitt was given a second yellow card for a technical infringement at the breakdown resulted in a red card which meant the Scots were down to 14 men for the rest of the match. With a man down in the scrum, Valley managed to push over from close range but HKS had the last say of the match after managing to finally put some phases together and keep hold of the ball, captain Josh Dowsing picked up a try towards the end of the second half. Final score 22 - 7 to Valley. 

The HKS Nomads picked up their first ever victory over Valley in their match at Happy Valley 6 winning 12 - 7, tries by Harris Grant and Ash Hyde sealed the match after the Nomads fought back from 7 - 0 for a majority of the match. 

The HKS Bravehearts had another difficult game going down to the Valley Mavericks 45 - 0 at Valley. 

The HKS Kukris had another convincing victory this past weekend, beating Tai Po 22 - 5 and finally the HKS Phoenixes also managed to pick a convincing win over the Valley Mai Jais 31 - 17 at Tai Hung Tung.
