Bloomberg HKS take care of Kowloon at The Rock

Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish lined up against Kowloon RFC in their second home game of the season last Saturday. Scottish was looking strong in the first five minutes but it was Kowloon who moved the scoreboard first. A try and a penalty in the first half gave the visitors the lead as the Scots only managed 3 points by way of McNeish’s trusty boot.

The second half looked to be more of the same from Kowloon as they piled on more points with another penalty.  Scottish Centre Sam Vaevae fought back though and crossed for Scottish’s first try of the match. The score was all tied up after McNeish nailed the conversion. But that didn’t last long as Kowloon once again put three on the board by way of the uprights. The tension was palpable in the dying minutes as the Scots tried desperately to make up the difference. In the end it was the stand in tight head prop Jamie Pincott who turned out to be the hero as a pick and go lead to the vital 5 points. McNeish of course made sure of the extra two and the Scots snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat.

Straight after the premiership match the Nomads picked up quality win over the Kowloon 2’s. At the same time the Kukris lost a hard fought match to the Valley red ladies at Kings Park. Earlier in the day at Tai Hang Tung the Phoenixes defeated Kowloon development.
